Descriptions Of Terminologies Explained.

Ceramic dome coatings:
Ceramic dome coatings repel unwanted heat.
Combined with combustion chamber and valve coatings will increase performance, longevity and dramatically reduce heat.


Armor glide skirt coatings:
Armor glide piston coatings are nice insurance when lubrication problems, tuning problems happen ... Also works together with oils "just-in-case"

Deluxe bore and hone:
Inspected, blasted, surfaced, bored and honed.
 
Oil feed "O" ring modification:
 Top end oil feed "O" rings can move or shift from time to time.
We machine and install an inner dowel pin to keep them in place.


Milling or surfacing:
Milling or surfacing is done to insure your gasket area is happy and seals correctly.
Increasing compression option.
Adjusting deck height with pistons being used.


XC rings with Total seal 2nd ring:
Wiseco XC ring sets are still the engine builders favorite.
Total seal gapless 2nd rings are a common practice with high level engine builders.
There is plenty of literature and endorsements regarding 2nd ring upgrades. 


XA rings:
Wiseco quality but thinner for potential power increases.

Top case boring:
Some larger big bore kits require upper case boring when bigger sleeves are being used.
Noted in the descriptions.

Uni-brow piston domes:
 We playfully call this machining process uni-brow piston dome modifications.
Used to adjust valve pockets from staggered to a common pocket or enlarge.
Dome volume is also adjusted for desired compression ratios.

69-76 Honda cb750,s had a 22cc combustion chamber.
77-78 K models had a 24cc combustion chamber.
77-78 F Super sport models had a 28cc combustion chamber.
Chamber blending will have an effect.
Surfacing and gasket thickness will have an effect.

Note:
Many people believe the stock cylinder sleeves get to thin when boring to 65mm ..... These "ultimate" cylinders are the best procedures ever done on a Honda cb750 cylinder ..... Heres why!

Note:
Many people believe the stock cylinder sleeves get to thin when boring to 65mm ..... These "ultimate" cylinders are the best procedures ever done on a Honda cb750 cylinder ..... Heres why!

We machine special cylinder sleeves to the proper length depending on the piston choice ..... some performance pistons are nearly .400 shorter than stock.

Also,
We were able to gain .080 of cylinder wall thickness with our sleeves.
The cylinder sleeves have the perfect outside diameter and do not "break-through" to atmosphere between 1&2 and 3&4 cylinders when boring the block.
 
We start with a prefered early cylinder.
The stock cylinder sleeves are removed.
The cylinder is blasted and checked for flaws.
The cylinder is surfaced on the bottom.
The cylinder block is bored and honed to accept the performance sleeves.
The "O" ring grooves are re-machined on the bottom side.
The cylinder block is heated and the special sleeves are installed.
The cylinder block top is then surfaced.
The newly installed sleeves are bored and honed to the selected pistons.
(6) 12mm long Heli-coils are installed for strength.
The oil feed "O" ring modification is completed to keep the "O" rings from "walking"
Whew! That was alot of work.
The perfect 836cc cylinder!

Engine top case needs boring for the ultimate cylinder.
