We feel our
reconditioned, refurbished, rebalanced, upgraded motors are better than new.
But, first things first.
Procedure #1: Replace
wearable motor items.
When considering any level of stock or performance rebuild, there are
wearable parts that simply need to be changed.
Primary chains, cam chains, rubber cam and primary tensioners, clutch
plates, oil seals and gaskets to name a few.
Procedure #2: Install
upgraded parts.
These are motor items that Honda should have done from the start. The weak-ish
OEM parts have eventually been exposed through racing, hard street riding,
and father time.
Heavy duty cylinder and main bearing studs, along with matching nuts, modern
gaskets, crankshaft balancing, alternator balancing and clutch/chain wheel
balancing are items that have been discovered as being ridiculously out of
balance.
These are a few items and procedures that should be considered and are
installed on every motor rebuild performed at Cycle X.
Procedure #3: Performance
engine parts and extreme performance.
When considering high performance of any level, the wearable and upgraded
procedures must be done first.
The motors must be built strong first, then faster.
